The ICA conference is THE international conference for communication scholars from around the world. The conference in Singapore will be the least expensive way for Asians particularly to participate in the conference. It will probably be some years before the conference makes it way to Asia again.
ICA 2010 is the annual conference of the International Communication Association. The conference is held in a different city every year. And its conduct in Singapore this June makes it the first time in seven years that it is held in Asia.
The theme for this year's conference is "Matters of Communication: Political, Cultural, and Technological Challenges."
Registration is easy. You can find registration details in this Website, and the actual registration portal at the ICA Website. You can also use the print version to register.
Registration fees have been lowered to US$125 for members and US$75 for student members. Fees will include all breaks and lunches on the main conference days. A special cultural closing dinner will be available for $25USD.
Preconference workshops are special thematic sessions which allow for greater activity among participants than do regular sessions.
There are 12 such workshops this year. You will need to register for each workshop individually. Details are in this page.
The conference will be held at the Suntec Singapore. Most conference hotels and many dining options are within walking distance from Suntec.

At the conference, the best communication and media researchers from around the world will present their latest work. Thus, in attending the conference, you will be able to participate in, and network during, excellent and interactive sessions that will discuss cutting edge work in our discipline.
The five-day event is packed with various panel presentations, roundtable discussions and poster sesions from ICA's 24 divisions and intrest groups.
If you submitted a paper via the paper management site, you can sign in there using your username and ID. Once inside the site, you will see a link where you can download your own personal letter.
