The call for nominations for the ICA Awards is announced in the ICA Newsletter, typically in the November issue. Please check the newsletters for detailed information about nomination deadlines and required supporting material. The deadline for each of the awards is January 31.

The International Communication Association is the largest international academic association for scholars interested in the study, teaching, and application of all aspects of human and mediated communication.
It maintains an active membership of more than 4,300 individuals of which some two-thirds are teaching and conducting research in colleges, universities and schools around the world. Other members are graduate students, and those working in government, the media, communication technology, business law, medicine and other professions.
ICA aims to advance the scholarly study of human communication by encouraging and facilitating excellence in academic research worldwide. The purposes of the Association are:

ICA Journals |
The Journal of Communication is a general forum for communication scholarship and publishes articles and book reviews examining a broad range of issues in communication theory and research.
Human Communication Research seeks to advance understanding of human symbolic processes, so there is a strong emphasis on theory-driven research, the development of new theoretical models in communication, and the development of innovative methods for observing and measuring communication behavior.
Communication Theory publishes research articles, theoretical essays, and reviews on topics of broad theoretical interest from across the range of communication studies.
The Journal of Computer-Mediated Communication is a web-based journal that is broadly interdisciplinary in scope. It publishes mostly empirical research making use of social science methods.
Communication, Culture, & Critique publishes critical, interpretive, and qualitative research examining the role of communication and cultural criticism in today's world.

A Guide to Publishing in Scholarly Communication Journals. This popular guide is aimed at facilitating the publication process for potential contributors.
Communication in the Public Interest. From the growing monopolization of global media, to human rights issues and health campaigns, communicating in a time of war, and issues of free speech and society, communication has real political and ethical imperatives in our world.
Communication Yearbookis a forum for the exchange of interdisciplinary and internationally diverse scholarship relating to communication in its many forms.
International Encyclopedia of Communication. The idea behind this project is to create the premiere and absolutely essential reference source in the field of Communication.
Handbooks of Communication. The series of scholarly handbooks represents the interests of ICA members and help to further the association's goals of promoting theory and research in the communication discipline.
Theme Sessions Series. This series publishes some papers from the annual conference theme sessions in a short edited book of approximately six chapters.
The British tenure in Singapore has left a lasting imprint in the island through its civic buildings rendered in the Palladian, Renaissance, or Neo-classical traditions.
